There are few things easier than a reused door to create an environmental home. The bonus also being that an antique door can add so much character and charm to a room or exterior. The only catch is finding a great door.

There are many stores online (and physical stores) that sell antique doors, but some tend to be quite expensive (upwards of $300).

To cut out the middle man, check out moving sales in your neighborhood, Craigslist, or eBay (not completely cutting out the middle man here…). The thrill of the hunt may make your purchase even better.

A third option is antique shows, although having never been to one, I’m not sure how many options there are for large home fixtures.
